1. Data Controller

2. What data do we collect and on what basis?

While using the Project-Backup.pl website, we collect the following data that you voluntarily provide:

• Personal and contact data: First name, last name, e-mail address, optionally phone number.

We process this data based on Art. 6 sec. 1 lit. b GDPR (processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party).

3. For what purpose do we process your data?

Your data is processed to:

• Fulfill orders for software licenses in our store.
• Provide licenses and post-sales service.
• Handle the payment process.
• Fulfill legal obligations resting on the Controller (e.g., accounting and tax) - basis from Art. 6 sec. 1 lit. c GDPR.

4. Data sharing

Your data is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes. They may be transferred to entities processing data on our behalf (e.g., hosting service providers) and payment operators (Stripe) in order to fulfill the order.

5. Data retention period

Your personal data will be stored for the period necessary to fulfill the order, and after that time for a period corresponding to the limitation period for claims (usually 3 years) and for the time required by tax and accounting law (5 years from the end of the settlement year).

6. Your rights

In accordance with GDPR, you have the following rights:

• The right to access your data and receive a copy of it.
• The right to rectify (correct) your data.
• The right to erase data.
• The right to restrict data processing.
• The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: If you believe that the processing of your data violates GDPR regulations, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (PUODO).

7. Security of local data and backups

The "Project Backup" desktop software (SQL Backup, Files Backup) performs data operations only locally on your devices or external network drives that you specify. The Controller does not collect, process, archive or have access to your files, databases or created backups. Full responsibility for the correct execution, storage, security and availability of the backed up data lies with the User. The software is provided "AS IS" and everyone downloads it at their own risk.
